Telford Hart Associates was founded in 1946 in Carlisle, Cumbria, where the head office still remains, giving us almost 70 years experience in the construction industry. Over the years we have expanded across the North of England with further offices in Kendal and Newcastle, which has allowed us to deliver projects on a regional, national and international basis.
As the industry has developed, and the needs of our clients have changed, the company has expanded by adding a Project Management division to its Cost Consultancy provision, and more recently also offering CDM-C services. This has enhanced the facility we can provide and offers clients the comfort of knowing that the management of their projects is under one roof.
The company is managed by two partners; Martyn Hart & Ray Tait, and three directors, supported by professionally qualified staff.
The company prides itself on maintaining a close and supportive relationship with its clients, whether large multinational developers and contractors on million pound schemes or one off clients finding their way through a project for the first time. We believe that this gives us a crucial advantage over the larger practices, as we offer a high degree of continuity with personal support and access to high level management.
Telford Hart Associates have experience in a wide range of sectors with many different clients including leisure, education, retail, housing, health and civil engineering. Projects in these sectors can range from minor refurbishment and alterations to multi-million pound publicly funded regeneration schemes. Details of all of our projects can be seen elsewhere on the website highlighting those projects which provide a cross section of the work we do on a local and national scale, together with a brief look at some of the international projects we have worked on.
From the outset, you will have direct contact with a Partner or Director responsible for the delivery of the Cost Consultancy and/or Project Management services you require.
Our approach initially will be to understand your brief, your ambitions for the project and the anticipated outcomes. We will provide comment and support as required to give a clear starting point for the team to work from and avoiding misunderstandings from the outset.
To deliver a project of this type on time and on budget will need a close working relationship with the client, the contractor and the design team. Careful preparation pre contract, following a detailed briefing will lead to a sound start for the project. Thorough work by the team at this early stage reduces the likelihood of problems as the project proceeds.
