The provision of the new mental health services facilitates the integration of the new hospital to act as a catalyst for the proposed expansion of the Ryhope Village. The design of the new hospital will set new standards in mental health provision and in doing so will provide the highest quality patient care within a safe, healthy and confidential environment.
The new hospital will accommodate the design of some 900 new houses, shops, offices, leisure and associated uses on site, enabling the provision of mental health services within a new mixed-use, mixed tenure community.
